Technology and Architecture Plan:
Flash embedded in xhtml 1.1 page
xhtml page will have css sheet seperate for control of style
Flash will contain static logo & design elements as well as mp3 player
navigation menu (editable/extensible in xml file w/actionscript)
Future:secure flash based web app/interface for menu editing the xml file
XML used as database or repository for updates to news and blog sections
xml converted to html and brought into dynamic textfield which will be formatted in CSS
Future:blog information to be contained in mySQL database and comments/editing via php scripts
style switcher in flash which will force new style sheet for dynamic text areas, this will give user control of design including several embedded fonts:flash area will be artificial styled with AS.
Future:seperate elements of style switcher so that user can change font/background/and text size seperately
Now or Future:MP3 player loading files based on xml information, loads playlist dynamically expands to fit and numbers items into playlist, volume/drop down playlist, streaming playback, et al
Purpose:To develop an online portfolio of skills in the hopes of mastering technologies that could be used in a new career and displaying past successful works in an attractive and extensible framework.
